Title: Azure Cloud Engineer Contractor

Location: Remote

Duration: 12-month contract with extension possible

Overview:

The Azure Cloud Engineer Contractor will design, implement, and manage the organizations cloud-based solutions and infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure platform. You will work closely with architecture teams, development teams, technical product owners, offshore resources, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and reliable operation of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy virtual networks, storage accounts, virtual machines, and other Azure resources to meet the needs of the organization’s applications and services.
• Monitor the performance, availability, and security of Azure resources. This includes implementing proactive measures and responding to incidents to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Develop scripts and automation tools using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other relevant technologies to streamline deployment, configuration, and management of Azure resources.
• Implement and enforce security best practices, ensuring that Azure environments comply with relevant security standards and regulations. This includes configuring network security groups, managing access controls, and monitoring for security vulnerabilities.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to Azure infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.
• Documentation and knowledge sharing: You will create and maintain documentation, guidelines, and best practices related to Azure infrastructure. You will also provide guidance and training to other team members to enhance their understanding and usage of Azure technologies.
• Interface with offshore teams, developers, architects, technical product owners and other technology partners to provide guidance on cloud-based solutions, and infrastructure
• Performs unit tests, monitors results, and takes required corrective actions as needed.
• Administer and manage resources and identities in Azure cloud platform

Required Qualifications:

• 5-8 years’ experience in Azure Cloud Development particularly related to IaaS and PaaS
• Experience designing, building, administering, and implementing cloud-based solutions and infrastructure (Azure required)
• Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Azure VMs, Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Active Directory
• Skilled in cloud platform configuration
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar tools.
• Experienced with CI/CD, DevOps and Azure pipelines
• Expertise in Azure Infrastructure Management
• Familiarity with tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Ansible
• Strong Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Microsoft Azure Certifications
• Experience in healthcare industry desired
