Job Summary: The Infrastructure Manager will play a crucial role in leading a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the optimal performance, availability, and maintenance of the company’s infrastructure. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage a diverse set of responsibilities ranging from networking to data center operations.

1. Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Direct a team of engineers and technicians to collectively pursue goals related to the uptime and maintenance of the system/network.
  • Perform individualized one-on-one sessions and conduct performance reviews for team members.
  • Generate executive summary reports detailing the progress of ongoing infrastructure projects.

2. Networking Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the maintenance and continuous operation of a network covering 200+ remote sites, facilitating connectivity to both cloud-based and local resources in Columbus, Ohio.
  • Provide oversight for hardware and ISP vendor management.
  • Collaborate on architecture and design initiatives to ensure scalability for future needs and growth.

3. Data Center/System Operations Tasks:

  • Sustain a VMware clustered environment.
  • Administer the local data center environment and manage colocation services at an off-site location.
  • Direct daily backup operations, including storage in both cloud-based and LTO tape formats.

4. Technical Expertise:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in the maintenance and management of VMware systems.
  • Display familiarity with various server and data backup platforms.
  • Administer the management of NAS hardware.
  • Possess experience with Exchange Online/Office 365, Azure, and On-Premise Active Directory.
  • Exhibit knowledge in handling Cisco and Fortinet networking equipment.
  • Showcase expertise in VPN setup and management, DUO Multi-Factor Authentication, and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery technologies.

5. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Collaborate in the creation of documentation as requested by senior IT management staff.
  • Provide educational awareness sessions for end-users.
  • Document internal IT processes related to infrastructure tasks.
