Job Responsibilities
Leads the complex maintenance tasks, equipment trial runs, investigative tests, repairs and overhauls
Performs complex maintenance on tools, test equipment, etc
Completes documents of all inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures
Leads the resolution of complex equipment/system failures & faults and interfaces with customer personnel to provide quality service and feedback on problem evaluation and resolution
Performs assessment of complex product/equipment performance based on field support data and recommends modifications or improvements
May participate in the negotiation and administration of service contracts
Performs complex and technically demanding work within technical area of expertise
Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is more difficult and complex
Provide electromechanical corrective repairs and preventative maintenance
Technicians shall have the following minimum qualifications and responsibilities:
Electromechanical skills, troubleshooting skills with PLC controls, servos, and other discrete electrical control components

- Associate degree with an emphasis in automation or related area and three (3) years of equipment installation, electrical, maintenance and automation experience in manufacturing environments, OR
- High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of equipment installation, electrical, maintenance and automation experience in manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read, write, interpret, and draw mechanical and electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical codes
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Advanced knowledge of industrial controls and instrumentation
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex problems with equipment
- Thorough understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and HMI’s using ladder logic
- Ability to interpret and create wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints
- Good verbal and written English language skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related information
- Math skills to include decimals, fractions, algebra, and geometry
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and ability to learn various statistical and quality methodologies including but not limited to Statistical Process Control (SPC), Statistical Quality Control (SQC), 5S, 8D, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis, Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R), and Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Proficiency with Multi-meter, diagnostic tools, and portable power tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (PIT) license
