Network Administrator

Description: OtterBase is looking for a Network Administrator to join our client’s team and is offering a competitive salary and exceptional employee benefits. The position will have you working a flexible hybrid schedule, 2-3 days onsite each week, so all candidates must be local to the Mount Pleasant, MI area.

Responsibilities

• Network administration including set up of new users, installing network security patches, examining network server logs, and taking corrective action
• Monitors and manages network server performance and resource utilization.
• Assists in planning, implementing, and managing overall network operating system infrastructure.
• Assists in the administration of various enterprise-wide network infrastructure services; such as Active Directory, VMware virtualization, server virus protection, clustering services, backup systems, and various naming, registration, and address assignment systems.
• Maintains Veeam backup systems and Disaster Recovery Systems, documents and tests backup systems in accordance with Disaster Recovery policies.
• Provides technical support, including both hardware and software support to end-users including Windows, Office 365,ERP systems, Unity Voice Systems, CRM systems and integrations, and tier 2 hardware support for PCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience working with networking infrastructure and LAN networks environment including virtualization on VMware systems
