Network and Systems Administrator
Location: Nashville, TN (onsite 3 days/week)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Nashville, TN. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and performance of our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including server and network administration, hardware and software maintenance, and troubleshooting technical issues. This is a 6 month + contract.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, test, and maintain servers, operating systems, applications, and software management tools.
- Perform system administration of the network (LAN, WAN, VPN), servers, and infrastructure. This includes upgrading hardware, installing software, and monitoring performance.
- Manage Windows Server environments, including user accounts, security, and permissions.
- Possess a strong understanding of TCP/IP, SMB, local networking (switching and routing), wide area networking concepts, and remote access solutions (VPN).
- Maintain and troubleshoot Lenovo desktop hardware and HP server hardware.
- Provide technical support to internal users, resolving issues related to Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Document system configurations and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a network and systems administration role.
- Proven experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and security best practices.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols and concepts.
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools and methodologies.
- Experience with desktop and server hardware maintenance is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel occasionally may be required.
Note: Residency in the Nashville area is a requirement for consideration.
