Project Manager (Waterfall Methodology)

We’re seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a solid track record of success managing enterprise-level projects across various domains. Some examples are things like COTS implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and security initiatives. You’ll play a pivotal role in collaborating with internal stakeholders and vendor partners to deliver projects on time, within budget, and exceeding expectations. This is a contract position 3 days onsite in Nashville, TN.
In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise in the Waterfall methodology to effectively manage the entire project lifecycle. You’ll be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans: This includes defining scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Leading and motivating cross-functional teams: You’ll foster a collaborative environment where everyone feels valued and contributes their best work.
- Facilitating clear and consistent communication: Keeping all stakeholders informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle is crucial.
- Managing vendor relationships: You’ll build strong partnerships with vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitoring project progress and proactively identifying and addressing risks: Taking a proactive approach to problem-solving is essential.
- Ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards: Delivering high-quality work is our top priority.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Possesses a minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience as a Project Manager.
- Has a successful track record of managing enterprise-level projects across diverse domains (COTS, infrastructure, security, etc.).
- Demonstrates strong proficiency in the Waterfall project management methodology.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Excels at communication, both written and verbal, and can effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Has experience working with vendor partners on complex projects.
- Prioritizes quality and takes ownership of project deliverables.
Bonus points for:
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
- Certifications like PMP (Project Management Professional).
