Description: OtterBase is working with a client in Metro Detroit to fill a need for a System Engineer. This is a fully remote, direct hire position, but does require frequent travel. Please review the information below and apply today!

Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with developers and designers to conceptualize and develop functionality in the Blue Yonder Group (JDA) WMS application
- Assisting with defining software development including; scoping, scheduling and implementations
- Recommending, scheduling and performing software improvements and upgrades
- Assisting with the definition, development and documentation of the software’s business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis.
- Writing, translating, coding JDA software programs and applications according to specifications
Qualifications:
- A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields.
- 3+ years relevant work experience (WMS, Logistics, Warehouse Management)
- Hands on experience with Blue Yonder Group (JDA) Warehouse Management System solution
- Relational Database experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server
- Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualize processes and outcomes
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
- Must be able to travel on short notice. Travel up to 35%
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans
- Thorough understanding of platforms such as UNIX and Microsoft Windows
