Maintenance Technician – Conveyor & PLC Systems!

Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on automated material handling equipment. Using problem-solving and critical thinking, key tasks include the following:

Repair and maintenance of material handling equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and component lubrication.
Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
Create and close work orders in the asset management system with appropriate data (labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used).
Troubleshoot conveyance problems and identify resources needed to resolve them.
Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
Perform complex maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.
Provide assistance in training customers to operate equipment.
Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to resolve them.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Education:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Associate degree or vocational technical training, specialized skill training/certification.

Preferred Technical Skills:
Electrical troubleshooting (wiring, AC power, AC motors, electrical drawings/schematics, control panels)
Mechanical experience (gearboxes, sprockets, chains, bearings, guide rollers, etc.)
Knowledge of servo drives, PLC, PC controllers, DC power supplies, optical devices (encoders, photoeyes, etc.)
Familiarity with automated equipment, preferably automated material handling systems
Some experience with Allen-Bradley RSLogix5000 PLC controls platforms
Experience with network communications (DeviceNet, PROFIBUS, Ethernet, or equivalent) is a plus
Proficiency with MS Office products
